The Bible was not written in English – in fact, English didn’t even exist when it was written! The first parts of the Bible were written in Hebrew, the language of the Hebrew people. The English Bibles today are translations of ancient copies, including ones written in Hebrew.
The book of Genesis, the first book of the bible, reveals the name of the one who created all. Your bible probably reads:
“This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made earth and heaven.” Genesis 2:4
Many take from this that his name is “the LORD.” Did you know that the ancient copies do not say “the LORD?” Our modern translations remove the original word (his name), and replace it with this title, “the LORD.” What is originally there?
“This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that YHWH the Mighty One made earth and heaven.” Genesis 2:4
The name of the creator of the universe has been removed from your bible and replaced with a title! YHWH (YaHuWaH), his name, was replaced with a title, “the LORD!”
